Sick on Easter...ugh

So yes, the trip was fabulous...until we were heading home. Its 3 AM, Travis had to leave me and the kids at the airport so he could return the rental car, which didn't open until 5 AM. No biggie I thought, Ill just check our baggage in and wait at the airport McDonalds for him...right?! Nooooope. I had 6 bags to check, all just under 50 lbs, plus all of our carry on's and 3 tired and cranky kids, who could blame them, it was 3 AM. Then it happened, you know the rumble in your tummy, the one that says "your in trouble". I'm thinkin what am I going to do? I was about to burst into tears and then I realized I needed to pull up my big girl undies and deal with it. I checked ALL the luggage and got us checked in for our flights. I swear your body can go into survival mode when necessary because right when Travis arrived I pretty much started rocking back and forth and whining like a giant baby. My body ached terribly and , well lets just say I'm pretty sure it was food poisoning. I spent the next 3 days in bed, whining every step of the way :-) Travis took very good care of me and he did try to help around the house. I couldn't ask for better.

  1. Oh Brandy, you poor thing! I can only imagine the scene - three in the morning, three cranky kids, and a stomach bug!! I guess you really did pull up your big girl panties in a big, big way. Glad you made it home safe and somewhat sound and glad Travis took care of you during your recovery. See what the wrong food can do to you? Hee-hee! Glad we got to get together with you and your family and hope to be able to catch up with you in Vegas!!! xoxo LoLo Boatcher
