So my sister and I went to Casita Del Rio on friday and was amazed at the reaction we got from alot of the women there. They were polite, friendly and for the most part pretty upbeat. Now these women have chemical dependency's and have children. They are not there by choice so when my sister and I went there to get to know them we were a little nervous. We wanted to give them some encouragment and maybe teach them some things about crafts, makeup and hair ( by which we are PRO'S at...). They were very happy we were there and to my surprise they were actually encouraging to us. My sister and I left determined to make a difference. Alot of them have no one and I mean not a mother, father sibbling or even a close friend and the ones that do have family cant count on them because they are "users" also. I want to make a difference and help these women and Ihave tons of ideas but if any of my blog buddies have any ideas for inspiration please share... we could use all the help we can get....and if you want to come on a trip to Casita let me know and I will give you dates and times. :) Thanks all .
